tumescent - saline solution containing a local anesthetic is infused into the area prior to suctioning, to decrease post-operative discomfort, bruising and swelling
power-assisted
ultrasound-assisted
Treatment areas: Areas commonly treated include the chin, abdomen, back, waist, flanks, hips, thighs and knees
Incisions: Approximately 1/4" in length, can usually be placed within natural skin creases
Length of surgery: 1 - 3 hours, depending on the number of areas treated - outpatient
Anesthesia: General
Recovery: Most activities can be resumed within a few weeks, while strenuous exercise will take longer. Final results may take six months or longer.
